Christmas at Mema's

We went to Mema's (aka Sean's mom - Peggy) the day after Christmas to spend Christmas with her. We had breakfast pizza with her and opened presents. It was a relaxing day.

Christmas morning was such a rush. Sean had to work at the Fire Department. We went to bed late and ended up waking up with little time to open presents. It was fun, but too fast. Christmas was so fun this year because Bryson was really excited about Santa coming.

Christmas Eve

CHRISTmas eve morning after Sean got home from work, we went to mom and dads to have CHRISTmas with my family (Mom, Dad, Sean, Bryson, Angela and Kendrick). We had Breakfast Casseroll, Monkey Bread, Bagles, Fruit, Coffee, Orange Juice and of course dark milk a.k.a Chocloate Milk for Bryson. Spending time with my family at Christmas and any time is one of the most enjoyable things for me to do. We had so much fun. After we left mom and dad's we went back home and we all took a nap. Then it was time to go to the Christmas Eve Church service. They did not have anywhere for the little ones to go so everyone was in the sancturary. Bryson did a pretty good job for this being his first time with us in the Sancturary. After one man finished singing a few people were clapping and Bryson yelled out "Yeah!!!!!!!" There were a few chuckles and thank goodness the preacher smiled. I about crawled under the pew in front of us. I guess he was just expressing himself. After the Church service we went to Sean's Dad and Marion's house and ate dinner and opened presents. Jeff, Catherine, Blake and Katie were there also. Blake, Katie and Bryson had fun playing together. We then came home to get ready for Santa to come.

A Key for Santa

Gramme and Grandpa came over and brought Bryson an ornament and a special key for santa to be able to get in our house to leave him presents. We really enjoy having Gramme and Grandpa so close that they can stop by any time.

Bryson Doing His Job

While decorating for CHRISTmas, yes it was a late start, Bryson had to do his job. Every piece of Styrofoam that were in the different boxes of decorations he wanted to work on. He said, "I need to do my Job!" He was very excited working with HIS tools. We gave him these tools for his 3rd birthday and it looks like he loves them. I guess he is going to be a handyman, mr. fixit kind of guy like his Daddy and Grandpa. He was so proud of him self when he cut the "Wood". It looked like it snowed in my den. He asked me, "Mommy, will you clean my mess up?' It was too cute, Styrofoam snow was everywhere but I didn't mind, he was having fun, and that is what childhood is about...Having fun!

Christmas with the Clawson's 2009

Christmas with the Clawson's this year was at mom and dad's house. Colby, Ally and Bryson had a blast, and fun was had by all! The kids played so well we need to get them together more often. We don't live that far away from one another but it is sad that we only see one another on special occasions and not just because.

PANCAKES...I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN

Bryson loves pancakes. I don't think there is a boy that is out there that doesn't like pancakes. Bryson asked his daddy to fix him a really, really big pancake and that is what he did. While mixing the batter Bryson said I want to help. Daddy I want to do my job. So Sean let him help mix the batter.

Auntie

Bryson's favorite Auntie came over this evening and they had so much fun. Here is a picture of them together laying on the couch. Bryson loves his Auntie so much and so do I. She is my Sister and my best friend.

Gingerbread House

Well today after almost a whole bag of icing...I finally got the Gingerbread house together where Bryson could decorate it. The instructions say hold in place for 1 minute until iceing dries. It should really say hold for about 10 minutes and you will need to use about a truckload of icing just to build the darn thing. Sean thought that I was making the Gingerbread from scratch and when I called him from work he told one of the other guys, we need to be on standby for a fire at my house. There is no way I would ever bake a gingerbread house from scratch. Maybe the gingerbread men but not a house. Here are the pictures from the fun event. This is just one of many Christmas traditions we are starting as well as going and looking at all the pretty, and sometimes tacky CHRISTmas lights.

Last Night

Last night Gramme and Grandpa (My mom and dad) watched Bryson for us so that we could go to a Christmas dinner with our Fire Dept. Family. We had a great time. They picked Bryson up from school and brought him home. I am sure you can check her blog out for everything they did. Well, I have stockings hung on our fireplace mantel. The whole time I was putting each one there while decorating our house for Christmas I could hear my mothers voice saying "don't put them there, he will pull them down and hurt himself." So I have told Bryson that every day. He has not touched them so far. This morning I get him up to get ready for school and he goes into the den, walks over to the fireplace and in a circular motion with both of his hands he says to me, "Mommy, Gramme touched EVERYTHING!" I thought that was so funny. He was telling on her because I told him not to touch them he thought no one should touch them. Too Cute! I have the best parents in the world. They are willing to help out any chance they get. I am truly blessed!

Skipped the CHRISTmas Parade

Well we (My Mom, Dad, and I - Sean had to work) had planned on taking Bryson to the Christmas Parade. Mother nature had something else in mind. We could have braved the cold and damp weather but that and the crowds would have been too much. Instead we had a very fun night. My Mom and Dad picked Bryson and I up and we went to Andy's to eat. Then Bryson said he wanted a Doughnut, he really wanted it for dinner but that was not going to happen so Grandpa (my dad)bought him a doughnut of his choice. He chose the one that had Red iceing on it. Then we went around town looking at the Christmas lights, a when I say around, I mean litterly around town (we were avoiding the parade traffic). Going and looking at the Christmas lights was a tradition in my family when we were growing up. I was hoping my sister could go with us but it was a last minute plan and I think she was studing. I don't know what I was thinking when I had that idea because there were not that many lights, Of course it was on Christmas eve and not 20 something days before Christmas I don't even have my lights up or house decorated, why did I assume that everyone else should. Guess I better get busy, as my mom keeps reminding me. Oh well, There was really only one house that I had to see and it was so pretty. It is a house off of Penny Road, and all I have to say is he sure is keeping Progress Energy happy and I am glad I don't have that light bill. After we saw the lights we came back home and ate our doughnuts and spent a little more time together. I love Christmas time and spending it with my family. I have the best Mom and Dad anyone could ask for.

This and That

Well this week has been busy. Sean has worked at both Apex FD and Fairview FD all week and on Monday night we went to the Hockey game. Here are the pictures. I know with Christmas upon us the weeks will get shorter and time will run out. Hopefully this weekend we can get the house decorated for Christmas. Bryson is going to spend the night with Gramme and Grandpa tomorrow night. Oh what fun he will have. We have an "elf on a shelf" if you do not have one you should get one. I got mine at Hallmark a few years ago. Lets just say, I don't know what I am going to do once Christmas is over and "Nelson" the elf goes away. More on that to come.
